Grace Tabernacle Church, affectionately known as Grace, is all about relationships with God, relationships with people, and being of service to the world we live in.

Grace exists to develop Kingdom Leaders in our community and around the world; teaching all to follow Jesus, while promoting family relationships, and encouraging service to others.
The Grace Tabernacle Church Story
Grace Tabernacle was started in June of 1987...
by Pastor Norris D. DuPree, Sr., with wife, Lady Remintha DuPree and three children, Norris Jr., MarvaElane, and Norman DuPree.
The church opened with humble beginnings and just a few members - in a stripmall storefront with a pottery store on one side and an optometrist office on the other.
However, Pastor DuPree had a vision...
to bring the word of Jesus Christ to more people.
To do that, he needed to purchase the building complex and eventually, the Church did just that. The building was purchased and expanded by Grace Tabernacle Church.
As our reputation for welcoming all to learn about Jesus Christ spread, Grace Church grew with college students from the University of Nevada, Reno, Job Corp students and community members.
Pastor DuPree had another vision...
to take care of seniors in need.

The Church decided to purchase land next to Grace Tabernacle. With this purchase Grace Tabernacle partnered with Community Service Agency to build apartments for senior citizens. Grace Apartments is a 55-unit complex with a library and sitting room for the seniors.
Later, Pastor Norris and Grace Tabernacle purchased the building to the left
of the church and named it the Remintha DuPree Learning Center & Office Complex.
God has been faithful to Pastor DuPree and the Grace Tabernacle Family.
We are a church that has served the community with food, clothing, toy drives, and more over the years. Grace Tabernacle has also aided in emergency relief projects by
donating in the United States and around the World.
Grace has been able to do a lot with only a little.
The Bible tells us if we are faithful over the few things, God will make us ruler over many. The vision is not complete. There are greater works for Grace Tabernacle to do.

Founders & Visionaries
Senior Pastor Norris and Lady Remintha DuPree have been married for over 49yrs. They have three adult children, 23 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. They are both retired from their careers and have been faithfully leading in ministry for over 38 years.
Pastor and Lady DuPree have dedicated their lives to prayer and teaching God’s Word. Grace Tabernacle Church has been able to accomplish much and will continue to do more under their leadership.

MarvaElane Burr
Executive Pastor
Leadership Development & Department Director
MarvaElane Burr was born and raised in Reno NV by her loving parents, Norris and Remintha DuPree. Often referred to as Apostle ME, MarvaElane is a licensed minister and ordained Pastor. Her love and passion is God, ministry, and people. She has filled many roles in the church including, co-pastor, worship pastor, youth pastor and more. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master's degree in Business Leadership. MarvaElane is also a John Maxwell Team Member and is certified by John Maxwell’s Leadership Training Institute. MarvaElane is an entrepreneur who currently leads an elite team of over 900 in her Multi-Level Marketing business. Her joy is found in serving others, training, developing leaders in churches and organizations, and being with family. MarvaElane is a wife to a wonderful husband, David C. Burr of over 20 years and a mother to her three extraordinary sons, Joshu-el Divine, Christopher Nahshon, and Elijon David.
Dr. Norris D. DuPree, Jr.
Prophet & Assistant Pastor

Dr. Norris DuPree Jr. wears the mantle of a prophet and is totally submitted to the prophetic call. He is licensed minister and he is also a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Psychologist with an emphasis in Psychometric testing, and an Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He received his Ph.D. at the University of Nevada Reno in Counseling and Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Consultation. He operates under a powerful and unique anointing that brings healing, deliverance, and restoration. The word spoken by the prophet realigns the mind, soul, and spirit back to the will of God. He is passionate about people and he is a community activist who enjoys serving the community. Dr. DuPree believes God has placed in everyone the DNA to be a conqueror and a champion. Dr. DuPree is a loving husband and father to his wife, Angela DuPree; his son and three daughters. In the words of Dr. DuPree, “It’s a great day to be a conqueror.”
David C. Burr

Finance and Church Administration
Pastor David serves with a unique blend of executive acumen in the areas of leadership development, administration, and business management. A gifted teacher and encourager in the Word of God, he has a passion for development and helping people identify and maximize their own personal excellence. His practical presentation of fundamental Biblical life principles provides a very powerful and life changing experience to all who share in it. Pastor David is happily married to the love of his life, Apostle MarvaElane, for over 20 years and the proud father of his three sons Joshu-el, Christopher, and Elijon.
Angela DuPree
Administration & Grace Education
Minister Angela M. DuPree is a wife, mother, human resources professional, prayer warrior, worshipper, and minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. She was born and raised in Jacksonville, North Carolina and at the age of 18 enlisted in the U.S. Air Force serving 9 ½ years overseas and domestically. She received her bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and dual master’s degrees in Business Administration and Human Resources Management from Keller Graduate School of Management. The wife of Dr. Norris D. DuPree Jr. and the mother of Ariana Landers, Aria Landers, and Azaria DuPree. She accepted Christ in her life at an early age and have been sharing the love of Jesus ever since! She has served in many capacities within the church over her lifetime and really enjoy serving God and people. Minister DuPree is excited to serve at Grace Tabernacle and in the surrounding communities!
Bernadette Cooper
Administrator & First Impressions Ministry
Evangelist Missionary Bernadette Cooper, A native of South Carolina, accepted Christ as her personal Savior as a teenager and serves faithfully in her local church, Grace Tabernacle. She has served as the Minister of music, worship leader and assistant to the women supervisor of Grace Tabernacle’s Women Department. Evangelist Cooper is also District Missionary for the Sierra District under the Northern Nevada 1st Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, Churches of God in Christ, and serves faithfully on Supervisor Bertha Mullins cabinet of women. She is married to retired Deputy Sheriff Larry Lee Cooper and has two adult children, Trevor and Latiana and one grandson, Josiah. Evangelist Cooper has a degree in Mental Health/Mental Retardation and Development and is the owner of Breath of Life Supported Living Arrangement Facility, Sparks Nevada. She loves her family and her extended family, those she cares for in her group home. She has been appointed and anointed for such a time as this to speak and breathe life to those that feel they are lost and without hope.
Shawna Jones
Executive Assistant
Shawna Jones was born in Sacramento, California and has lived in Sparks, Nevada since 2012 with her husband of 13 years. She has been with Grace Tabernacle for 3 years and is currently a student of Elijah’s Mantle Prophetic Ministry School. Shawna has worked as an administrator and for the local postal service for over 14 years. She Has been a Prophetic minister and worshipper of the Lord, seeking after God’s heart for 15 years. Shawna has a heart to see all people encounter and develop a deep personal intimate relationship with the Lord, to fulfill their full potential and divine destiny for their lives. Her desire is to see cities, regions and nations transformed and revitalized. She is also excited to see God’s vision, purpose and plans come to fruition for Grace Tabernacle and surrounding communities.

Establishing Relationship with God
Relationship with God is the ultimate purpose of the church. Our desire is to see you and your family grow in the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ. To help equip you for the great purpose God has for your life and to ensure you are ready to meet God when this life has come to an end.
Christening
Christenings are a service provided by Grace Tabernacle Church. It is a ceremonial dedication of babies/children to God. Godparents are usually a part of the ceremony along with family and friends for this memorable event and celebration.
Baptisms
Baptisms are for those who have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. The submerging under water is an outward sign of an inward work. It signifies the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Spiritual Guidance and Counseling
Spiritual guidance and counseling are provided by the Pastor and his selected staff. The word of God is used to provide wisdom and counsel. Biblical principles are used to navigate us through life’s journey efficiently and effectively.
Wedding Ceremony
The exchanging of vows in holy matrimony is a ceremony that is provided by clergy for that special day. Marital counseling is included in preparation for the marriage.
Funeral and Burial
Funeral and Burial services are conducted by the clergy of the church. Grace Tabernacle will work closely with the family to assist in preparations for the service and repast for the loved one who has transitioned.
Fellowship with Members
Grace Tabernacle takes pleasure in creating time for church family. We want to get to know you, so we have something for the whole family to connect to. Our weekly services, life groups, and other social activities are important for building and maintaining family relationships.
Connection to Community
Connecting with the community gives you an opportunity to serve others in various ways. Grace Tabernacle Church believes in helping humanity by connecting and partnering with others in food drives, donations, and other charitable events.

Hospital Visitations
Grace Tabernacle Church will visit those members who are in the hospital and those who are sick and recovering at home. We show that we care.
